Build a successful freelance business

I was having problems finding new clients and projects since the coronavirus outbreak. I was kind of “all over the place” and I needed some guidance and help. I realized The Six-figure Freelance Designer course was legit from the moment the exercises asked me to do real life tasks, like reaching out to past clients and asking them questions. I was having issues structuring my freelance business as that, as a scalable business. And the Unique Selling Proposition exercise was mind-blowing — how is it that they don't teach you these things? Right now I feel way more prepared and confident about my business.

If you want to take your web design career to the next level, Ran's course is like having a business coach advising you and I highly recommend it. There's no fluff or too many words. It's all clear, concise and to the point.

Before The Six-Figure Freelance Designer I didn't have the confidence to negotiate with clients and I would work on the projects for the amount they wanted. Nowadays I'm a Webflow Developer at a big agency and on the side, I run my own studio. I make some extra thousand USD dollars a month and now I’m able to negotiate with my clients and get them to pay me my rate.

My now successful web design and development studio, Crunch Creative, is built on Ran's teachings, frameworks, methods and management style in general. We're a team of four working on high value projects (between $4k and $10k) for a steady stream of super interesting clients. And to think... for all of the Flux Academy courses together, I paid a lot less than what we charge for one of our smallest client projects. The value has been simply inarguable for me, and it'll pay dividends indefinitely.

The Six-figure Freelance Designer course transformed me from a 5-figure freelancer to a 6-figure freelancer! I used to just run out of clients because I was working on a project. Today, I am working on 2 new big projects and I meet with new potential clients almost on a weekly basis. My wife had to join me as a project manager to help me keep track of the projects. Now I am about to start making 5 figures on a monthly basis.

Before The Six-figure Freelance Designer course, I was struggling to find design work, competing with everyone else and thinking that I’m not good enough. Nowadays, I reach out to potential clients with confidence, create new relationships and work full-time freelance. I’m looking forward, but without that fear that I’m not good enough. I’m very grateful for discovering this program.

The Six-Figure Freelance Designer gave me the set up I needed. Before, there were a lot of things I would've overlooked, but Ran and Flux Academy help set you up so you can be the badass designer you want to be. In parallel, the Flux Community is great — makes you realise you're not alone and everyone wants to help each other. I still have a lot to learn for myself, but Flux Academy has made me feel better about running my own freelance business.

Ran's courses are great! I've gone through his Six-figure Freelancer course and it was super helpful in helping me identify weak points in my business strategy. I also learned how to price my services better, which led me to land my biggest client to date. Thanks Ran!

My takeaway: It's SO much better to get feedback from others that went the path you're trying to take, instead of shooting arrows in the dark and being stuck in your own head, I know it might sound like common sense but honestly I did that mistake for too long.

This course was one of the best courses I've ever taken. The content is stellar and Ran is a clear and concise teacher. I'm happy to say that this year, I signed a six-figure web design contract with a client, which in addition to other client work, makes this year my highest grossing year to date. The business is expected to make 6-figures next year, even more than this year. Ran and the community were very supportive of my growth.
